Military Plane Nearly Crashes Into Sea After Aircraft Carrier Landing Cable Snaps
In order to facilitate short landing distances, aircraft carriers "catch" planes with a landing cable. If that cable snaps, though — like one did on the USS Eisenhower recently — that's not ideal.
